Do you want to be part of the 97% of our graduates who, having completed some form of Placement during their degree, successfully get into Graduate-Level work, Self-Employment or Postgraduate study after graduation?

Placements are the perfect way to supercharge your skillset, your employability, your confidence and so much more. Best of all – our placements are flexible around you, your life and your needs.

What is a Placement?

The term ‘Placement’ is used to describe a range of different types of work. This can be anything from short microplacements lasting a week or two, to Placement Year roles lasting 6-12 months. A one-year placement forms part of your degree programme between your second and third year of studying for a minimum of 24 weeks.

Placements offer you a range of key benefits which make you graduate-market ready.

Enhance your skillset and work experience

Learn transferable skills needed to excel in your chosen career after you graduate whilst enhancing your degree qualification and increasing your chances of earning a high graduate salary

Apply your academic knowledge in practice

Gain valuable insight into the way real businesses work and make your mark in industry

Elevate your CV and build your network

Gaining experience through a placement will provide you with real working examples and help you stand out at future interviews

The experience at Airbus was invaluable

My placement was a year with Airbus in Bavaria, Germany. I worked in the department that developed software for application in military aircraft. I really enjoyed my time there. I worked with some of the best in the business, and because it is an international company I worked with many people from across the globe. The experience was invaluable and was certainly my favourite year being a student.
