As President of Staffordshire Students’ Union, Precious Ogbein leads the Elected Officer team, who work together to represent the University of Staffordshire student body. Their team advocates for students’ rights across all areas of student life with the aim of improving the overall student experience. Having served as President in the previous academic year and now in a second consecutive term, Precious also chairs the Union’s Board of Trustees. Her priorities are strong student representation, amplifying every student voice, and prioritising student well-being; she regularly attends university committees to ensure policies and decisions align with student needs and foster a welcoming, inclusive campus environment.
Precious is a Master’s candidate in International Finance and Accounting at University of Staffordshire. She holds a degree in Accounting, is ACA-qualified, and has over five years’ professional experience in finance and accounting, including roles as a Credit Manager. Her financial and governance expertise informs her work as Student Governor, strengthens her ability to represent students at senior levels of university decision-making. Importantly, as an international master’s student, she brings her lived experience to the Board, ensuring diverse student voices are reflected in key discussions.
