Featuring the latest tools and tech, Stafford’s immersive and clinical simulation suites provide practical and personalised real-world learning experiences that will inspire and energise you. Augmented and virtual reality technologies, complemented with high-quality realistic mannequins, enable you to safely practise clinical skills. The life-like spaces in our simulation-based settings include a hospital ward and operating theatre. We also have a fully equipped paramedic training ambulance, which is also used as part of the External Simmersion Area.

Clinical Simulation Suite (Stafford)

These state-of-the-art labs allow clinical procedures to be simulated, so that our students are safe and confident before treating real patients.

Community House (Stafford)

A fully furnished house which is used regularly for scenario training by paramedic students and includes audio and video facilities to record scenarios and allow feedback.

Immersive Suites

Our immersive suites can simulate almost any environment from hospital to office and house to roadside. The suite allows 360 projection with realistic sounds from that environment.

Lifelike Living Space (Stafford)

The lifelike living space lets you practice your skills in a variety of non-clinical settings, including our configurable house environment.

Nursing Skills Lab (Stoke and Stafford)

You'll experience a range of real-life activities such as life support, venepuncture, birth management, obstetric emergencies, cannulation and drug administration.

Paramedic Training Ambulance

Paramedic students and other student clinicians who may have pre-hospital involvement, can hone their skills in our very own fully kitted training ambulance, allowing our students to practice realistic scenarios and to prepare for their placements.

Learning and collaboration spaces

Library and learning facilities on our Stafford Campus offer all the support you need. Our specialist healthcare library and integrated computer lab offers space for quiet, reflective and group study. Open seven days a week from 6am, it stays open until midnight on weekdays and 10pm at weekends.

The Centre also has a range of social spaces in which you can meet friends, relax and reset. There is a restaurant and coffee bar on the ground floor and social spaces, both in the Atrium and on the first floor.
