Molly Turton

Lecturer

Digital, Technology, Innovation and Business

My practical expertise spans both traditional and digital media, with specialist skills in calligraphy, printmaking, and contemporary image-making for illustration. Working and teaching across the Adobe Creative Suite and draw upon extensive experience in delivering dynamic, interactive lectures and hands-on workshops.

As Course Leader, I collaborate closely with industry partners to ensure high student satisfaction while embedding employability, professional practice, and real-world engagement directly into the curriculum.

My pedagogy centres on practice-based learning, encouraging play and experimentation as foundational tools to build student confidence. I guide learners to transition these exploratory techniques into practical, professional applications for the contemporary creative industry.

Underpinning my teaching and freelance practice is an ongoing interest and commitment to scholarly research. I am currently undertaking an MA focusing on Visual Arts and it’s history, exploring themes around representations of the feminine in visual culture. This research enriches my approach to course leadership and pedagogical practice, blending practical making, industry relevance and critical theory.
