Scholarships and fees

As an international student, here's how to prepare financially for your UK journey.

  • Cover Your Costs: You'll need sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees and living expenses while studying in the UK and be able to provide evidence of these.
  • Deposit Payment: Your deposit confirms your commitment to study and starts the process for your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), needed for your UK student visa. For further details, visit Deadlines for entry.
  • CAS Process: We'll begin processing your CAS once your deposit has been received and cleared by our bank.
  • Tuition Fee Payments: Tuition fee deadlines are important so it’s important to plan ahead to ensure you can meet all instalment deadlines.
  • Opening a UK bank account: You cannot pay tuition fees in cash. Arrange for your first instalment to be paid before travelling to the UK, as you won’t be able to open a bank account until after you enrol.

By following these steps, you'll secure your place on your chosen course and be ready to make the most of your university experience with us.

As an international student, paying your deposit is an important step to secure your place on your chosen course at the University of Staffordshire. Here's everything you need to know to get started:

  • Sponsored students: No deposit is required. Please send your sponsorship letter to the International Admissions team.
  • Distance learning: No deposit is required

We recommend paying your deposit as soon as possible, as places are limited, and admissions may close early.

Use our trusted payment partners, Convera or Flywire to make your deposit securely. Your deposit shows your commitment to studying with us and is usually non-refundable. Full terms and conditions are outlined in our International Deposit Refund Policy.

Cash payments are not accepted, so please arrange payment before arriving in the UK.

If you need a Student visa, we won’t be able to begin processing your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) until after your deposit is received and cleared by our bank. Check your offer letter for full details of the Pre-CAS requirements and CAS issuance process.
