Meet Jenni Tsang - Software Development

Really fun. I've learned so much and I enjoyed talking with friends on this course. And how we all have a similar interest in the course.

I feel confident to go and ask my lecturers for help. Even if it's outside uni hours, I can go and email them or if I had any other issues. I can also talk to other members of staff.

Everyone is really friendly, and I feel like you always have a friend here, so you will never feel alone.

Me and another classmate are doing a project about scheduling. We are building it in Django and styling it with Bootstrap. I think that's a really great way to learn teamwork skills and collaboration. It's going pretty well. We’ve made a lot of progress.

The Computing Society is really good. You can come together and just enjoy learning different things, whether it be SQL databases or doing different events such as ‘Capturing the flag’ or hackathons, it’s just a really fun experience.

It’s a great way to meet people with a similar interest as you, develop your skills, and come together and just enjoy computers.

I’ve learned different industry standards on how to code in a certain way, which is best for the industry. I've also learned different frameworks and libraries, and modern languages, like Tailwind. It helps me get prepared for the future.

I feel overall, I'm more confident in my skills in this industry where I can build applications better and more secure. I also feel more confident so I can show off my skills and have better presentation skills.
